Cloud or virtualization? For some organizations, virtualizing the infrastructure is perceived as an intermediate step before switching – if the test is passed – to the cloud. Virtualization makes it possible to secure the IT environments in order to streamline their management via VMware/vSphere,Citrix, or Hyper-V/Windows technologies. Likewise, the cloud also offers several stages of maturity, from the private cloud using OpenStack or Microsoft System Center 2012 technologies, to the public cloud, with Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Compute Cloud, and the hybrid cloud as another option.
